Administrative organization

The Financial Markets Administrative Tribunal has four full-time members: Mtre Nicole Martineau, President; Mtre Jean-Pierre Cristel, Vice-President; Mtre Antonietta Melchiorre, Vice-President and Mtre Christine Dubé, and three part-time members: Mtre Elyse Turgeon, Mtre Chantal Denommée and Mtre Julie Biron. The Tribunal also has the director of the Direction des affaires juridiques et du secrétariat (Mtre. Sylvain Lippé) and the director of the Direction de l'administration (Nelly Paillette), as well as professionals, technicians and support staff.

The Direction des affaires juridiques et du secrétariat oversees delivery of the services of the tribunal office, receives and processes applications, manages the hearing roll, and looks after management of, and access to, the documents of the tribunal office.

The Direction de l'administration is responsible for planning, organizing, monitoring and evaluating activities relative to the management of human, financial, material and information resources.

The amounts required for the operation of the Tribunal are debited from the Tribunal's special fund, which is made up of:

  1. the sums paid by the Autorité des marchés financiers in the amount and according to the terms and conditions determined by the government;
  2. the sums collected pursuant to the Tariff of duties, fees and other charges related to applications heard by the  TribunalThis link open an external website in a new window.;
  3. the sums transferred to it by the Minister of Finance under the first paragraph of section 54 of the Financial Administration ActThis link open an external website in a new window..
